Microsoft Copilot brings the power of generative AI to everyone in work and life. And with Copilot for Microsoft 365, it's committed to ensuring that commercial customers have access to the best generative AI models. Discover the new capabilities of Microsoft Copilot.
On April 2, Microsoft announced two important updates for Copilot for Microsoft 365 users.
First, it provides priority access to the GPT-4 Turbo model for working with both web and work data. It also removes restrictions on the number and length of calls while increasing file transfer capabilities. Second, later this month, it will offer Copilot for Microsoft 365 users expanded image generation capabilities in Microsoft Designer, including priority access during peak hours.
Priority access to GPT-4 Turbo and unlimited calls
Starting today, all licensed commercial customers will have priority access to GPT-4 Turbo in Copilot for Microsoft 365. As part of this change, Microsoft is removing the total chats per day and revolutions per conversation limits, along with additional updates.
Together, these changes mean customers will receive faster, more comprehensive responses.
In an online context, Copilot users get the power of the latest fundamental models based on the latest public information from the web. The web context includes commercial data protection, which means that Microsoft does not retain your suggestions or replies, has no visibility into your suggestions or replies, and does not use your chat data to train underlying foundational models - providing a safer alternative to using other public AI generation services. intelligence.
Work Context goes even further by relying on your work data - including your calendar, emails, chats, documents, meetings, contacts and more - so you get contextually accurate answers. Copilot can help you quickly scan emails for important messages to prioritize, help you prepare for key meetings by pulling information from all your work, and help you generate ideas on the best way forward. The work context also benefits from enterprise-grade data protection, ensuring that data stays within the boundaries of Microsoft 365.
Enhanced image generation capabilities in Microsoft Designer
Starting next month, Microsoft will increase the number of daily image generation opportunities from 15 to 100. Based on DALL-E 3, image generation in Microsoft Designer allows users to create custom images based on text descriptions, transforming saved ideas. Users will be able to initiate up to 100 fast image generation requests per day, significantly reducing the wait time for an image to be created.
Using the full power of the Copilot system
Artificial intelligence is much more than just a new technology. It's a new way of working that gives organizations the ability to completely transform their business - from core processes and workflows to hiring and training the workforce of the future.
These new capabilities will initially be available on copilot.microsoft.com, followed by the Copilot mobile app, Windows, Edge browser, and in places where users can directly access their work context, such as Microsoft 365. Additional details about these changes are available on the Copilot for Microsoft 365 documentation page.
