The following post will only discuss solutions included in Office 365 for businesses. Having not previously dealt with Outlook 2016 (which is part of the Microsoft Office 2016 office suite) and Outlook Online, you may get the impression that it is the same product - after all, both are called Outlook, right?
Outlook as a program installed on a computer (Outlook 2016) and Outlook available in a browser (Outlook Online - OWA (Outlook Web Access)) allow you to send and receive emails. However, the online version has far fewer features than the desktop version
Outlook 2016 provides a number of additional functionalities – what?
There are so many of them that it is impossible to present them in one sentence, so you will learn more about them in subsequent posts on this blog. It is available for computers with Windows and Mac OS.
In the Online version, a convenience is the ability to work from anywhere on Earth.
How? All you need is a device with Internet access and a web browser installed.
A reduced version of Outlook is also available for mobile devices: tablets and smartphones with Android and iOS systems.
Both versions have:
Calendar
The built-in calendar allows you to quickly view upcoming meetings, create new meetings, invite people and manage meetings. You can receive a meeting reminder: by e-mail or by phone (App installation required on the phone, provided that auto-sync and cellular data are turned on)
Office 365 calendar
Calendars are synchronized on various devices (computer, tablet, smartphone) - identical content everywhere. Calendars can be shared between colleagues. Possibility to create resources - you can create separate calendars, e.g. for cars or conference rooms, which simplifies their reservation

Tasks
The organizer allows you to assign tasks to yourself and your employees. It allows you to view the list of tasks to be performed and tasks that have already been performed

- All attachments are scanned before they reach the recipient. The program checks them for viruses and malicious software such as ransomware. They are also checked for phishing (if they do not lead to dangerous websites (including those that extort money)) using advanced techniques developed by this company.
- The sent links (addresses that take us to the appropriate website, e.g.: www.teleaudyt.pl ) are checked to make sure they are not about extorting money.
- Anti-spam filters provide protection against spam, such messages are caught and deleted or sent to the junk folder, thanks to which the user focuses only on the right e-mails and keeps e-mails in order.
