What do the abbreviations DO, DW and BCC mean? Many people are not aware of this. That's why today we will show you how to distinguish them and in which situations you can start using them.
TO (TO)
To the recipient. Entering recipients in this field means that everyone who received the message will also see the other recipients to whom the message was sent. An example would be an e-mail congratulating the entire company for great annual results.
CC (CC)
For the attention of. Entering the addressee in this field informs him that he is not the main recipient of this message. It needs to know that this email has been sent. Recipients from the CC field are also visible to other recipients of this message. He can of course reply to this email. For example: An employee wants to take a vacation. Therefore, he sends an e-mail to his boss (DO field) and informs his superior about it (CC field). The boss sees that the supervisor has been attached to the message, and the supervisor knows about the email.
BCC (BCC)
Hide FYI. These fields have a similar function to CC, except that people entered in this field are invisible to other recipients. People who have been entered in this field are not advised to respond to this message, as it may lead to an unpleasant situation. Example: A supervisor sends an email to a customer. He enters the Bcc field for the new employee so that he can learn how to write messages to customers. The client does not know that the new employee also received a copy of this e-mail because it was not displayed to him. To send a message to multiple recipients while respecting their personal data (usually an email address), use the BCC function.
